[ Time required:one day ]
Experience rice planting at organic and pesticide-free rice field from “Tanemomi Project”. It’s fun to work in the mud! But you also appreciate the machine as you realise it is really hard work to do all by hands.
For those who participated, you can sample the rice from the “Tanemomi Project” cooked by the traditional rice pot “Kamataki” at inn Miyama. Guaranteed that the rice will taste better after the hard work! For those who are unable to experience “Kamataki” due to time constraints, you can take home rice harvested from the “Tanemomi Project”.(1 cup per person)
The exact date and time of the planting depends on the weather and the growth of the seedlings. We will not know the date until a few weeks before the planting. As soon as we know the date and time, we will post on Instagram.
“Tanemomi Project” was started by Mr. Blacky to revive the rice fields that could no longer be cultivated due to population decline and aging. Learn more about the Tanemomi Project at tanemomi Project
