“Kayabuki” a thatched roof house
“Kayabuki” is a traditional Japanese architectural style that uses local natural materials. The wisdom and technique to build and maintain the thatched roof has been passed down from generation to generation as a livelihood and lifestyle of Japanese countryside. In 2020, the technique and culture of thatching was registered as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO.
Interior
There are three bedrooms (Chrysanthemum room, Camellia room, and the Piano room). We can accommodate up to 6 adults. You have your private bathroom, toilet, and kitchen (if you are staying solo, the kitchen may be shared with the host).

Living room with kotatsu and a wood stove. The back garden can be seen from the living room frequently visited by rabbits, deer, and raccoons!
